think like a person of action : : act like a person of thought

There seems to be three different approaches to the big L word.  When I say LOVE, I don't mean physical or sexual attraction.  I also don't mean just putting up with someone.  I'm talking about really valuing someone above yourself.  Seeing their infinite inherent value and genuinely wanting their life to win.  With that in mind, here are the three approaches:

1) Love if. I'll love you if you do something for me.  If your presence is beneficial to me in some way.  If you don't hurt me.

2) Love because. I love you because you're attractive. Because you are talented. Because you are a leader.

3) Love period. No matter what you do, what you look like or who you know ... I just simply love you.  If your life disagrees with mine, I ask for God's supernatural ability to believe the best in you and for you.

Why pursue this kind of love?  Simply because that is the way that God loves us.

We tend to judge others by their actions, but ourselves by our intentions.

Where would we be if God loved us "if" or "because?"  Aren't you glad that He simply loves us "period?"
