think like a man of action : : act like a man of thought

There have been so many questions Natalie and I have received about this upcoming chapter of our lives.

Why has foster care / adoption been heavy on our hearts since before we even had our own children?

For us, it really comes down to the title of this blog.

Everyone deserves a chance to write their story.

It's really that simple.

We've all met great people who have adopted, been foster parents, worked in or owned orphanages and their heart is pretty simple as well. It may sound cliche, but

Do for one what you wish you could do for all.

We can't run an orphanage in Africa (although Natalie would leave tomorrow if she could), but we can take a couple kids at a time and: -Love them -Hug them -Defuse the lies and hurt -Tell them about Jesus -Give them some great memories -Tell them of their incredible value -Show them a healthy lifestyle -Introduce them to our amazing friends (who will love them too!)

So as this next chapter is about to be written, we have taken in a couple studs named Mikey (2) and Anthony (3.5).  We don't know how long they'll be with us.  Our desire is that they would be able to go back to their birth mom and for God to re-write their family's story, so it could be days, weeks or even years. All we know is that we're going to have a great time while they are a part of this household!

If you are around Rockford, consider yourself introduced. And if you see them with us, take a moment and breathe life into them and tell them how they are going to be incredible men of God!

Thanks for everyone's support.  We're loving it so far….even Sugar is having a good time!
